Hi everyone, I thought I would do another large update for all those who actually read these things I type!

I was lucky enough to have the most amazing work trip. On July 07 I started my 6 day journey down to Gwaii Haanas. Our work was a non-target survey along the islands in Juan Perez Sound, but we raced through the work and had 4 days off to explore the raw beauty of Gwaii Haanas. In those 4 days we went to the most remote parts of the world, a beach that is almost impossible to get to unless flat calm ocean. I saw seven different whales and places nobody has ever been before. We went all over Gwaii Haanas and it was amazing.

It put my mind to rest, I feel older and wiser... I also took 1600 pictures so the last week I have been slowly going through them. I still feel happy from the trip, it was the best thing that has happened to me for a long time.

I have to say, people call me a photographer now. I am proud to show people these shots now. It's all progression and this shows it very well. I hope you think the same way.

To end this journal I want to share one last thumbnail (please check out the full resolution picture). This picture is my favourite out of all the pictures I took on that trip. It brings me right back to that lush vibrancy in the forest at SGung Gwaay. Just looking at this makes me think of how many people used to walk that forest +600 years ago. It's truly a special spot and will be part of my heart forever.
